A single car accident just a few hundred yards from the Keowee Fire Department claimed the life of a man and sent his wife by helicopter to the hospital. The accident, which occurred Saturday evening near the Keowee Harbours Subdivision was believed to have been caused when the male driver suffered a medical condition and drove into the woods. Both occupants were extricated and the female was airlifted to Greenville.
