The Keowee Fire Department along with member of Rescue 22 responded to a report of an unconscious person on a roof in the gated golf course retirement community of Keowee Key on Monday. Unfortunately, upon arrival it was determined the person was deceased. After a short investigation by the coroner, Ladder 17 and a stokes basket were used to remove the body from the roof. The man, in his 70's, had been doing work most of the afternoon on the roof.
