The Keowee Fire Department recently purchased a Polaris Ranger Utility Vehicle to assist with everyday task and emergency calls. Personnel will use the UTV to help with hydrant testing, access to medical patients on a private golf course, and to move cumbersome equipment between stations. With the addition of a small water tank and pump, it will also be used to reach hard to access brush fire areas.
